Privacy Policy

No account. No app tracking.

Effective date: August 28, 2026. Kofe Flow does not require an account. Detailed Mac activity stays local, and optional sync carries only timer data and completed focus history.

Data collection

The Kofe Flow app does not collect, sell, or share personal information. It does not collect your name, email address, account information, document content, screenshots, window titles, or exact active app names for server analytics.

The app stores focus timer settings, notification preferences, Pro entitlement status, and focus history on your devices. Optional Mac app-time and browser-domain tracking remains local to that Mac; app names, bundle identifiers, website domains, raw URLs, titles, documents, screenshots, and content are never included in Kofe Flow Sync.

Kofe Flow also sends limited event-only product analytics to PostHog using a random anonymous install ID generated by the app. We use this ID only to understand aggregate usage and retention.

Payments and Pro purchases

Kofe Flow Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Kofe Flow does not receive or store payment card details.

The app stores Pro entitlement status locally and may send limited event-only analytics about Pro screens, feature gates, purchase and restore results, product ID, and whether Pro is active. These events are not linked to your identity and are used to understand product usage and purchase reliability.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Kofe Flow uses local notifications for timer alerts and Apple Push Notification service for optional cross-device timer and Live Activity updates. Push tokens are used only to deliver those updates.

Kofe Flow does not record keystrokes, mouse movements, document names, screenshots, or content. Activity signals are used locally only and are not sent to a server.

App analytics and tracking

Kofe Flow uses PostHog for event-only product analytics. Events may include app launches, onboarding, screen views, timer actions, session completion details, notification primer results, settings changes, history reset, app review prompts, app version, build number, debug or release environment, action source, and whether onboarding is complete.

Kofe Flow does not use PostHog Session Replay. Kofe Flow does not send app names, bundle IDs, URLs, website domains, window titles, document names, screenshots, keystrokes, mouse movements, or user content to PostHog.

Kofe Flow does not use advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking tools, data brokers, or analytics data for advertising. Analytics data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across apps or websites.

Website analytics

The Kofe Flow website uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Consent Mode to understand page traffic, App Store button clicks, and the performance of marketing campaigns. This setup is separate from the Mac app and does not change the app's local-first focus history or anonymous product analytics model.

Analytics storage and advertising storage are denied by default. If you choose “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and receive ordinary browser and device information, the pages you visit, referral and campaign details, and interactions such as App Store clicks. Kofe Flow also attaches a short campaign label to its App Store link so aggregate downloads and sales can be compared in App Store Connect.

Advertising personalization and user-data consent remain disabled. Kofe Flow does not send your name or email to Google, does not use enhanced conversions, and treats an App Store click as an interest signal rather than proof of an install or purchase.

Accounts

Kofe Flow does not offer sign-in or account creation. Lifetime Pro includes optional sync using a random secret stored in the app's private iCloud key-value container.

Optional Kofe Flow Sync

When enabled, Kofe Flow sends timer phase, duration, timestamps, timer actions, completed focus-session timestamps and durations, random device identifiers, app version, and Apple push tokens to a Cloudflare-hosted service. This data provides Mac–iPhone timer sync, remote Live Activities, and shared focus history. It is not linked to a name or email and is not used for advertising or product analytics.

The service keeps at most 360 days of completed focus history. Reset Sync deletes the timer state, history, and device tokens for the current anonymous sync identity.

Data retention

The app stores lightweight rolling focus history on-device. Optional sync retains at most 360 days of completed focus history. Mac app names, website domains, and their focused-time totals are stored locally for up to 360 days and are never uploaded through sync.
